In many years I collected a lot of interesting photos from the 4th highest peak in Slovenia – Mangart. It is very easy to approach also for those who do not like to go to mountaineering as you can drive to the Mangart Pass on the highest road in Slovenia. From the top of Mangat Pass (2,072 metres) you can adore and take a beautiful photos of endless views on all sides, summits, rock walls. In this reportage I selected few the most interesting photos of Mangart and surroundings.
View to the East on the walk on Mangart. The sun is already rising, while on the west side summits are still lighted up by the full moon.
Panoramic view from Mali vrh on “Rdeča skala”, Mangart and surroundings. On the right side Jalovec, Pelc nad Klonicami and Loška stena are misting.
From the top of Mangart in clear weather and good visibility the view reaches to the Adriatic sea on South, Italian Dolomits on West and to the Alpine world around Grossglockner on North.
Autumn and winter time will share with us scenes like this, due to inversion of temperature. Very often, approximate at the 1800m hight the fog “cap” is created that separate medium and high range of mountains.
